| A total of six treatments were set up to study the effects of selenium-rich enzyme on photosynthetic characteristics, agronomic traits, and yield of ‘Shengfeng 109’ pepper, providing a reference for the application of selenium-rich enzyme in pepper cultivation. The results showed that the transpiration rate, intercellular CO2 concentration, stomatal conductance, net photosynthetic rate, and relative chlorophyll content of pepper leaves under different selenium-rich enzyme treatments first increased and then decreased, and were lowest in the CK treatment. The plant height, stem thickness, dry weight of each plant part, and fruit morphology all showed a gradual upward trend, reaching a peak under the T4 treatment, in which 200-fold diluted selenium-rich enzyme was applied as basal fertilizer and 200-fold diluted selenium-rich enzyme was applied as topdressing. The yield of pepper was highest in the T4 treatment, which was 1.20 times that of the CK treatment, indicating that application of selenium-rich enzyme significantly enhanced photosynthetic ability and increased growth, development, and yield of pepper. Therefore, in pepper production, it is recommended to apply 200-fold diluted selenium-rich enzyme as both basal fertilizer and topdressing. |
