| The new maize hybrid ‘Linyu 30’ was approved in Shanxi Province in 2021 (Approval No. Jinshenyu 20210115). It is characterized by short plant height, medium to large ears, high yield, and disease resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in the multiple cropping regions of southern Shanxi Province. The hybrid combination of ‘Linyu 30’ is derived from the cross Ruide line × Tangsi Pingtou. The female parent is PK5, a Ruide improved line from the P group, and the male parent is PK25, a Lancaster derived Tangsi Pingtou improved line. Both parental lines were bred by the Wheat Research Institute of Shanxi Agricultural University and have independent intellectual property rights. The recommended planting density for ‘Linyu 30’ is 67,500 plants·hm2. The corresponding cultivation techniques include precision sowing on hard stubble after wheat harvest, coordinated water–fertilizer management with a single, season long growth promotion practice, comprehensive control of diseases, pests, and weeds, and timely late harvesting. |
