To understand the growth performance of different levels of virus-free seed potato of ‘Feiwuruita’, this study used nuclear stock, foundation stock, first-grade seed, and second-grade seed as experimental materials to evaluate their agronomic characteristics. The results indicated that there were no notable differences in the phenology, plant traits, and tuber traits among the tested materials. The nuclear and foundation stocks demonstrated superior overall performance, including favorable plant traits, fewer disease occurrences, larger tubers, a higher proportion of commercial-grade potatoes, and higher yields. The first-grade seed performed moderately well, while the second-grade seed exhibited poor performance. When cultivating potatoes, to balance production costs and economic benefits, nuclear and first-grade seeds are recommended as seed potatoes for commercial production. |
